Through the growing season, March to October, we make full use of the growing network of British flower farmers from our Cumbrian fells down to the warmer climes of the rose growing regions of Hampshire & the Brecon Beacons choosing seasonal flowers that are grown sustainably in support of nature. By choosing garden variety flowers through the British growing season you are supporting hard working growers who care & actively work alongside precious ecosystems that generating healthy soils and environments where our bees, butterflies, birds and so much more can flourish. As the floral season goes into hibernation (November to March) we move to our stunning, textural dried bouquets made up of foliage and florals that have been dried through the summer months. For those that would still like fresh additions we make full use of the seasons scented foliage and bountiful berries.

Through the leaner home months we do sometimes work with a number of growers in Italy, Portugal, France and Spain who grow outdoors with care for their environments when it comes to water and pesticide use and ship via land. We are not perfect but we’re aiming to be and make conscious decisions everyday to buy from growers who show care for the natural world around them, who are conscious of their carbon footprints and we hope by highlighting the seasons we can grow a sustainable nature loving business alongside our British flower farmers.

We are proud to have never used plastic or foam from day one in our business. So enjoy your flowers knowing that when they’ve given you all the pleasure they possibly can they can be safely composted returning to natures cycle. All our wrappings are recyclable too, we use kraft papers, hessian and jute. For our super/deluxe we use Cumbrian plant dyed raw silk & velvet ribbons.
